Assignment #18

Card Dance

First, before to start the Card Dance video, I choosed 30 pictures that I took or drew. I made them exact same size and put together (5 rows, 6 columns) in Photoshop. Then, exported these images as a merged layer to After Effects. 
I needed a graident (black-white) image for the card dance movement. I made it in Photoshop too. After imported After Effects, I applied Card Dance effect and sliced 5 x 6 with the graident movement. Finally, I added motion to camera.

Assignment #17

HTML5 Video Game

I have made a game! Yeah, that's true. You can play and share your score with me. 
For the create this Html5 video game, I downloaded game engine called Construct 2 
I decided to make a shark hunting game named "Danger in the River" First, I drew the main character which is a hunting ship. Then, drew bullet, background, animated sharks, shark's destroy and intro screen in Illustrator.

Assignment #16

Playing Cards

This week, for the assignment, I have designed a group of playing card. This special game's name is The Wall. There are three group of cards. Wall, damage and reinforcement. I decided to put a landscape for reinforcement, night view for damage and air ballons for the wall. And also created a card back design. For the understanding that which image for which card, I put initials to corners of the cards.

Website Building (Content Management System) Wordpress

I made my portfolio website with Wordpress this week. First I decided to domain name which is sdilemek.wordpress.com and picked a theme that I like. After put the header which on this blog, I created 4 different pages that content my portfolio. And also this website include a contact page that you will be able to send a mail to me. 

It was really fun to create this useful project.

Assignment #14

Email Newsletter

     We are here again with a kind of website design. This time I created a newsletter for e-mail. I decided to make a fruit newsletter and I minted a name and logo for this unreal company like last assignment (13). First I made the layout and created rows and columns in Dreamweaver. Imported the images and logo that was designed in CorelDraw. 

     After that, I copy some article from 13 th assignment. Created some links. Then, I saved it as a webpage. After I copied and pasted in the blank e-mail, I checked it by send myself. I resolved the issues in the page and it has done.

Assignment #13

Web Page Creating from template

For this assignment I was going to create a website from a template that I chose. I decided to make a fruit website. It is very colorful. I selected a template from templatemo.com (click and see). 

I have altered many things from the template include logo, fruit pictures on the header, pictures from gallery and some information. I also added 3 pages more. I took "About" and "Contact" information from the real website which Demargro has.

Assignment #12

Web Page with Photoshop and Dreavmweaver

I created a website with Photoshop. I made 3 different page (home, about and contact) After designed, I sliced 15 parts in Photoshop and saved it as images. Then imported in Dreamweaver and combined these images in a container. I put link these some of slices. Saved it as an html page.

Assignment #11

HTML5 Slider

This time I created a web slider with Adobe Edge Animate. First I decided the font and wrote "STONE" in Photoshop. Then, I selected an image of sea stones and I masked into the text. After import to Edge Animate, I put "Before" & "After" buttons. And saved it as a web page.

Shape Animation

I made this shape animation in only After Effects. Created some vector shapes and put synchronized background music with animation. It was one of fun assignment.

# Assignment 9

Cover Artwork for SLAM

For this assignments I had to design two covers for SLAM which is the student literary and arts magazine of Pierce College. For these covers that I designed I used Photoshop and CorelDraw. 

First design (at left), after chose the font I created to title within 50 different font types written "SLAM" inside. For the background color I used gradient technique that claret red to dark claret red. Then I drew a shaded frame with the pen tool. Finally, I put a picture that I create with graphic tablet (assignment 8). Changed to blend mode and angle. And this is the result.

Second design (at right), firstly I created 8 different contrast box and put the SLAM title inside. As cover design I used shaded picture that I create with graphic tablet (assignment 8) again. I divided to page 4. I put pictures by changing the angles and colors.

Graphic Tablet Drawing

This is the first time that I used a graphic tablet and pen. First of all, I supposed to decide that what will I draw! For this assignment, I decided to use Photoshop and started. After some practise, I thought the best thing be able to I draw is perspective drawing. Idea was a train station! According to the first drawing was not bad, I think.

# Assignment 3

Vinyl Sign Cutting

For this assignment, I drew a splash water, fish, fishing rod and a text with font that I made in 18 January in Adobe Illustrator. For colors, I decided to use red for splash, white for fish and black for fishing rod and text. After I drew these, I exported it as a Illustrator 8 file format with different layers. Then I imported this file into the Cut Studio which is cutting software. In this way, I have complated the cutting process.  

After cutting and weeding process, I have combined these vinyls and sticked on refrigerator.

# Assignment 7

jQuery Photo Gallery


I created a photo gallery today from Galleria.io with my photos that I took or designed. 

First I decided my photos and made same size them with Photoshop support. I copied in /images folder in /galleria. Then I've renamed the new pictures codes in the test.html pages with Dreamweaver. Background images has assigned. Some tables were resized. Thumbnails size were changed. I put my logotype on the top. After titles and founder name were changed, I have changed transition type, slide speed and some colors.

# Assignment 6

3D Pop-Up Photo Gallery

This assignment made as 3D Pop-Up Photo Gallery with "After Effects". 

Before start to creating, I seperated the backgrounds my 6 pictures.  I drew a night view for assignment on Photoshop. Dark blue and black sky, few stars and a moon. I saved it with the layers and I imported in After Effects. And then I animated to the background's different layers and my pictures. Also, I put a light, shadows and 3D animated camera. After I added music in this project, I rendered it.

# Assignment 5

This is two assignments about create a font set. One of capital letters, other one lower case. And I am presenting under one topic. 

For this assignment, my task was creating a true type font. We had some option for the font creating. I could use brush, template shapes or draw by hand with "pen tool" in Adobe Illustrator. I chose hand method. 

To complete this assignments I used two different software. I drew 32 capital letters, 32 lower case letters (include Turkish language special characters), 10 numbers and 28 symbols in Adobe Illustrator. And for the compile these characters I used Font Creator software. 

I felt I did a good job in this assignments and it was fun.

# Assignment 1

This is the first assignment about Integrated Digital Design. The task was draw 2 different materials over a background picture with brushes and giving animation in Adobe Flash. 

While I make this assignment I used 3 different softwares. 

• Adobe Photoshop (To create fire and smoke) 

• Adobe Flash (To give animation) 

• Adobe After Effects (To make it compose, giving effects, animated and add music)

Who Is This?

     Hello everyone.

    My name is Serkan and I am from Turkey. I am an international student in Pierce College. I came to USA at August, 2013 for studying Digital Design. 

      I used to work in my country as a graphic designer before university. I wanted to raise of my level. And in 2011 I went university in Turkey. My major was "Computer Aided Design And Animation". In first year I won a scholarship in Vilnius capital of city Lithuania (in Europe) with Erasmus Exchange Program and I went there for 3 months for internship. I was working in a company named Prototechnika for develop a software interface. After I finished internship I came back to Turkey. Then I finished the university with the first degree. In second year while I study in university, I applied to Fulbright Education Scholarship and I came here with this.
